Another stop on our way back to Canada, this one at Shenandoah National Park. Jennifer and I drove part of the Skyline Drive along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains and took a couple of short hikes, including on another section of the Appalachian Trail. Our second day was interrupted by smoke from a wildfire on another ridge, but it filtered light for a great shot of receding ridge lines - similar to the one I took in the Great Smoky Mountains a few days earlier, but caused by very different circumstances. The Blue Ridge was smokier than the Great Smokys.
