2022 - Winnipeg
After a summer of posting images from natural surroundings, now something completely different: In Winnipeg Jennifer and I visited the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.
The Museum impressed me more than I expected. I knew the architecture, with its curvy exterior and interior ramps leading from one exhibit to the next, would be great for photography, but the exhibits presented a broad and thoughtful picture of human rights, the abuses of human rights, and the struggle for human rights, both past and present and in both a Canadian and international context. One could quibble about some political biases and omissions, but the message was loud, clear, and important, especially in this time when human rights are under attack in so many places.
