2022 - Lake Superior I
Travelling west, Jennifer and I chose the northern route around Lake Superior. We took a week to do it, with stops at Chippewa Falls, Pancake Bay, Agawa Bay, Old Woman Bay, Neys Provincial Park, and the Sleeping Giant. Aware of the importance of this region to the Group of Seven, I tried in my own way to reflect the rugged beauty of the Superior shore. I am particularly drawn to the way Lawren Harris abstracted landscapes to their simplest forms - hence my efforts to create simple monochromatic images.
