2022 - Blue Ridge Mtns
After a month in Florida, we started our trek back to Canada via the mountains of Appalachia. Our first stay was in Cherokee, gateway to both the Great Smoky Mountains (which we had previously explored before the pandemic) and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We did the first section of the Parkway to Asheville, where we visited the Vanderbilt Estate of Biltmore (images in another gallery), an extravagant remnant of the Gilded Age. Then due to time restraints, we skipped the rest o the Parkway and headed to Shenandoah’s Skyline Drive, still in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
