Our drive up the Great Northern Peninsula included photo stops at The Arches PP, Cow Head, Green Head, Port au Choix, "thrombolites" at Flower's Cove, and Raleigh, with its iconic wharf. Highlights at the northern tip included St Lumiare-Giquet, St Anthony and of course the remains and reconstruction of the Viking settlement at L'Anse aux Meadows. In the village of L'Anse aux Meadows, we had a lesson on how to fillet a cod.
