2019 - Tucson & Mt Lemmon

Besides St Xavier Mission (separate gallery), Jennifer cycled the Loop Trail in Tucson and visited the DeGrazia Gallery. We took a break from warm weather and drove the scenic drive up the 6000-foot elevation gain to Mt Lemmon. We hiked the last 1.5 miles to the summit - in the snow! We drove from saguaro cactus desert to dense pine forest, and the climate zones we passed on the way up were the same we would have encountered if we had traveled from Arizona to Canada. One unusual thing we saw were what I now know are called "snow rollers"s, a rare natural phenomenon, the likes of which I never saw in all my winters in Canada.
