2018 - Gold Butte
While travelling south through Nevada, we drove into Gold Butte National Monument. We had hoped to get to an area of strange and beautiful rock formations called Little Finland, but the road proved too difficult for our truck - more suitable for ATVs. Plan B was to explore "Whitney Pocket", where these photos were taken. The rock formations and miniature grottos there allowed the imagination to take flight. Back light reflected from formations behind me created a striking pink glow to many of these images.
