Circumstances have conspired against our wandering spirits as we await the day we can head south again. Jennifer and I have had a couple of opportunities to get out and enjoy the fall scenery: Once to Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park on the slopes above the Bow River, and an afternoon at Nose Hill Park in Calgary. Nose Hill is quite unique: a prairie plateau of native grassland, surrounded by city, where in places you have an unobstructed view of the flat horizon in all directions.
